size=15]Personal Information[/size] Name: Urahara Haruko (You-rah-har-ah)(Hah-rew-co) *Literally means ‘Opposite [of] Clinging Child’ Age: 27 Gender: Female Village: Kirigakure Appearance Information Height: 5'5" Weight: 112 lbs Looks Image: - Spoiler:
Looks Description:The key of her appearance centers on standing out in a crowd. Although it’s fairly hard to stand out at 5 feet 5 inches and of nearly athletic looking build, she has done a pretty good job. Haruko has naturally violet colored hair which she wears just past her shoulders with bangs to just barely hide her slightly brighter violet eyes. In the back she has her hair in 2 separate large curls, while directly woven into her hair on her head are 2 small ribbons with golden bells that hold significance to her. Her outfit is a purple that varies in shades of purple, and gold accessories with hints of black. She wears a mainly purple sleeveless top with a black stripe down the center, and a fishnet patterned collar with a gold, black, and purple lining on the inner parts of it which also runs along all other edges of the top and down the sides. In the middle of her chest there’s a gap where the fishnet and original fabric should meet. Haruko’s skirt is ruffled with a second layer with the gold, black, and purple liner making a crooked X pattern on a lighter shade of purple. This second layer reaches all the way behind her to where the only gap is in the front to reveal the original layer. This part doesn’t look like much, but it’s a rather tougher material then the rest of the outfit, despite its softer appearance. From mid-thigh down is covered in black fishnet with the same lining at the top, ending in sandals with half-inch heels on them. It’s not so much for fashion, but to hone balance. About in the middle of her back is a large purple bow made of ribbon. This ribbon, as to not be used against her to pull her back, is easily detached by a metal ring with a gap in it that opens when pulled down at a certain angle. Last but not least are the purple sleeve-like pieces on both arms at the elbow, and the pieces on her hands. On her arms, the sleeve like piece is also lined with the gold, black, and purple, but with a gold amulet like piece in the center. With accurate aiming, this could even be used to deflect kunai or other small weapons from the side when the hands aren’t free. As for on her hands, the purple cloth is tied against her wrists with a golden string which holds unnaturally well. The black rings on the back of both hands have the same mechanism as the ribbon rings used to detach it. Kunai and wires and be connected to this and used, though careful precision and hand movements must be carefully trained to master unlocking the ring and locking it back with ease during battle. As well as controlling the string accurately while her hands are in use already. Personality Information Personality Description:Just like her outfit, her personality stands out greatly. At least, the personality she portrays for others to see. Haruko appears to be relentless in energy, and constantly doing something because she gets bored easily. She is in almost every meaning of the word a pervert, and uses her appearance to play with the minds of men at her leisure. On top of this, she can be seen as lazy and ‘mentally challenged’. One seeing Haruko as she is normally would use the term ‘critically insane’. The constant motion, the seeming carelessness, idiotic behavior, and perverted acts all add up to this one conclusion in general. She appears to be easy to manipulate and outsmart. That’s where people are deemed very wrong. This personality she displays is that which her clan seemed would be best for her. It’s a cover for her true personality and actions acquired through intense training while a young child. Like many, she was incredibly smart, and an advanced problem solver. The real Haruko is one who holds respect for all who she meets, until she see’s fit they have not earned it. Her loyalty can run deep for one who she respects. While holding dignity in herself, she still believes she has not earned the right to be the Leader of her clan or Mizukage. Haruko is rather calm, even somber or laid back, when she isn’t acting like someone else. She could even be called kind as she believes in preserving life instead of destroying it, and resents fighting when unnecessary. She can truly laugh while she is her natural self, instead of fake laughter while acting. Haruko has only been known by her true self by her family, and Animaru. With her family and Animaru all deceased now, there is few she can trust with her true personality. Yet, lately, she has been purposefully letting her act slip when dealing with her village to an attitude that can be called 'All business' or serious. Likes: Singing, dancing, nature, respect Dislikes: People who talk louder then her, obnoxious people, meaningless slaughter, crows Lifetime Goals: To become able to protect everyone she becomes close to. Role: She believes she deserves none unless she can protect those closest to her. History and RP Sample History:Childhood- Spoiler:
Born and raised in Kirigakure; Haruko surprisingly started out with a good life. While she had been born in a village on a surrounding island away from the main village, the hardships of the main village it’s self failed to reach the quiet little settlement. She was surrounded by her fellow clan mates, the Urahara, and was taught their ways and was a diligent student. She excelled fast, and was already starting her concentration training at age 6 like most Urahara children. She had no trouble with the ideas of her clan, and embraced them greatly.
At age 7, she was given her name. It was one of the happiest days of her life, and she remembers it in perfect detail. This was the day she was able to give her best friend, who was named Animaru, a nickname. That was also the day her father, the Leader of the Urahara, showed her the Akki Hana, and allowed her to touch the blade. Her and Animaru were close friends, born on the same day, and spent their hours training together. It seemed that wherever Haruko went, Animaru was close behind watching her back.
When they turned 8, Haruko and Animaru seemed to have become closer if it was possible. They knew everything about each other, and even though they were supposed to train themselves to different personalities, they couldn’t help but act like themselves when around each other. Her father saw this, but encouraged their relationship to grow and blossom into what he hoped would drag out into their adult lives, as they made formidable match in sparring, and knew each other like themselves. A match that would be fit in leading the village, and creating a strong heir to the position of Leader in the village.
Even at such a young age, they were mature enough to understand that the peace of their village would end one day. Though, they still didn’t understand just how close that day was. The Early Ending- Spoiler:
The day the massacre happened, Animaru and Haruko were away training in a deserted spot outside the village near the water. This was normal for them, and they often stayed here later than usual training. It wasn’t until night began to fall that they began to turn towards their village. That was when they saw the flicker of flames, and the scent of smoke that was pulled into their faces on the wind. They rushed towards their home with heavy hearts, a gruesome scene awaiting them.
Bodies were strewn across the village ground, the sound of connecting metal and sparks flying through the darkness. Haruko couldn’t comprehend the scene in front of her until Animaru grabbed her hand and pulled her along behind him as he rushed toward the place where Akki Hana was stored. Along the way, Haruko saw the faces of the people on the ground. Friends, cousins, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters. They were all connected by blood in their veins, and the blood staining the ground. She could match a name to every face.
Right before reaching the store house, a ninja jumped before them to attack. He was going to fast for Haruko to dodge. Animaru was ready to defend Haruko, and jumped in front of her. Though another figure took the blow. It was Haruko’s mother. An outraged cry rang out as her mother fell, and she could barely see her father as he came down on the attacking ninja. Cutting him down with ease.
Everything after that was just a blur to her, while everything before it was in vivid detail. All she could remember was Animaru holding her hand as the fire and smell of blood and smoke faded behind them. It had all happened so fast. To fast. It wasn’t until the next morning she could speak, when her father left to ask to meet the Mizukage to explain themselves. Haruko couldn’t understand why after this attack her father held respect for the Mizukage still. To this day, she still is unsure what he saw. Simple Misunderstanding- Spoiler:
When her father returned, he told them that the Mizukage understood the ‘method to their madness’. The village was attacked because the Mizukage didn’t see them as suitable allies from reports of behavior he was given by a group of his men who went and studied the village. It seemed the Mizukage was unaware they were acting like that on purpose. He apologized for the misunderstanding, offering them a new home in his village.
Her father accepted this apology, but not everyone did. Of course, Haruko stayed with her father. And Animaru now an orphan, stayed with her. Though the rest of the clan, which were only 4 people, left the country wanting to get as far from the tragedy as possible. Haruko’s father continued on in the village, and encouraged her to not dwell on the past, but look to the future. Trusting in his words, she pushed forward. Animaru was a little more reluctant to let go, but none the less, gave in to Haruko’s example. Things went on in silence for the next few years. The True Ending - Spoiler:
About five years later, her father fell ill. Some said it was because he couldn’t stand being apart from his wife. Others were cruel, and blamed their methods and teachings, or even their softness and lack of brutality. Life was hard enough in the village for the two children, now 14 years of age. When her father died, Haruko continued her training by his will. And continued to be loyal to Kirigakure, although her reasons were dwindling.
She moved forward with her training, though intensified it tremendously. Haruko no longer wanted to hold herself back. It was in her mind that she must protect the only thing she had left to her; Animaru. Animaru thought much the same, but for longer then Haruko realized. They went on missions together, fought together, and defended Kiri together. It was almost like the old days; except they were the only ones they could trust now.
One day, they went on separate missions. The Mizukage thought they should learn to interact with others better, instead of keep to themselves. It seemed reasonable at first, and they reluctantly agreed. That was the last day she saw Animaru alive. When she got back, she was told Animaru didn’t survive when the team encountered a group of rogue ninjas. It took all her will to laugh and tell them it was no problem; her acting didn’t fool anyone that day. The Long Awaited Beginning- Spoiler:
Haruko was at a loss now. Alone in Kirigakure. She spent her days training on her own, only working with others when it was absolutely necessary to do so. Her training only gained in intensity. Barely anyone remembered her clan now, and barely anyone realize she was still alive herself. It wasn’t until she began rising in the ranks rapidly didn’t they truly notice her. Though they kept their distance for the personality they witnessed. It was just as she wanted it.
While she thought nothing kept her to Kirigakure, one thing came to mind. Her father believed in the old Mizukage. As such, she followed his lead, turning her loyalty to the new Mizukage solely. With no one else who understood her ways, it was similar to an only option. As well, the new Mizukage could be better then the last one, so she used this to push herself forward. Training harder in hopes of becoming one of the Seven Ninja Swordsman.
Cause For Change- Spoiler:
When her dream fell of becoming one of the Seven Ninja Swordsman for the fact she lacked the skill with weapons, she become a close personal guard to the Mizukage by the age of 21 instead. With being this close at all times, the Mizukage's love for his village began to grow on Haruko with each passing day. She admired his ability to protect every single one of his people, as was his duty as a Kage. Even the ones who refused to follow his lead. He also came to see her potential and resolve as something, he told her once, he admired about her. He taught her how to fight for her village, and regain the love she had lost for them from the coldness she had been shown in her time of need.
A few years later, the Mizukage passed due to a tragic illness that seemed to come from no where. Devastated by the loss of her new found idol, she found reason to follow his teachings of forgiveness. She would strive to be as strong as him to protect the village and all its people that fell into her hands at his passing. She is still currently Mizukage. RP Sample:- Spoiler:
“Ouch! Stop it!”
Tsuki pushed away her brother’s hand and pulled her wrist close to her chest, cradling it gently. Again, she had gotten into trouble, despite her brother’s constant warnings and chidings. She always found a reason to hit someone. The black haired boy frowned down at her as she avoided his gaze, her face contorted in a defiant sneer. Then he smiled to her and bent down on one knee in front of her. She looked at him with curiosity in her dark gold eyes before huffing and looking away again. He laughed softly and spoke low and reassuring, trying to coax some sort of positive response from her.
“It will never get better unless you let me help you, Tsu. I’ve told you a million times to stop fighting, but if you insist on it, then you should at least let me patch you up afterwards.”
She pursed her lips and stared at the pasty white wall behind him, studying the half-open window in its center. Through it she saw a black bird fly by and into a large tree that leaned over they’re house. The house meant for four, but only held two now. Not wanting to give him more trouble, she held her wrist out to him. A long cut from her wrist to almost her elbow glistened blood. He made a sound in the back of his throat and sighed, pressing his fingers to his temples as he thought over hat supplies they had left. Standing up to look down at her, he regained his cheerful smile. His gold eyes glittering as he brushed ebony bangs from her face. Her brother left the room, and then his voice rang out from the next room.
“What was it this time? Why’d you attack Nanika? I thought she was your friend?”
Tsu walked over to the window, pressing her fingers to the sill and her forehead to the top part of the window which remained closed. It was always the same reason. And he knew it well. So why ask something you already knew about even if every time you asked it felt like reopening an old wound and throwing salt in it? The cold breeze ruffled her black hair and drew it over her eyes, hiding the tears shining on her face.
“She-….She asked me why my parents didn’t come back from their mission, and left us alone. W-When she knows why!”
She cried out, only to be rewarded by the bird flying from the tree. It made her angry that the bird left her there to feel this anger alone. Then she felt her brother’s warm embrace and she turned around to hide her face in his black training shirt. He held her for a long time, as if he’d never let her go again. Then he said something so low she barely heard him.
“We’re not alone; we will always have each other.”
She scowled into his shoulder. She had heard that so many times, over and over, that she held it to heart. Although, her mother and father said that to. Maybe not in the same words, but similar ones. Now, where were they? One was dead, the other no where to be found. When he said it it should have soothed her aching heart, but yet this time had failed. What was different about him that made her pull away and stare into his face questioningly? As she did this, he gave her a puzzled look back as he spoke in the same sweet tone.
"Whats the matter?"
Shaking her head, Tsuki looked away for a moment. Should she ask what was wrong with him today? Was it just her own imagination that sensed something wrong?
"There is something different about you, brother."
He looked a bit startled for a moment, staring at her like she'd found something out about him and he was busted. With a sigh, he silently stood and walked away to the window. For a long time he leaned against the pane, gazing out on the village laid out before them with a calm expression, almost peaceful. It scared her a little bit seeing him like this. This was something he did when deep in thought, debating with himself as she could see through his eyes. There was something going on, and he wasn't telling her about it. Finally, what seemed like ages later he looked back to where she was. Giving a soft, almost sad sort of smile as he walked back to her. Placing a hand on her shoulder he knelt before her.
"I'm sorry...but i have to leave the village for awhile." RP Test |
